San Francisco Announces Biodiesel Plant!

Submitted by Andrew Stone on Tuesday, 9 September 2008Comments

Ah, California, how I wish Utah could sometimes be more like you. but then again, I would then live in California and I don’t want to.  I mean, that is why I live in Utah.  Because I don’t want to live in California.

Anyway, The forward thinking people in San Francisco have announced the conversion of a rendering plant into a Biodiesel plant that is capable of producing 10 million gallons a year.  Chalk up one more for sustainable fuel!  So now, when that old fryer oil, chinese restaurant grease and griddle grease get’s tossed out it will likely end up in the gas tank of a diesel powered car in California.
