I came upon Brio54 a while back while reading a post on them over at GLiving.tv. I was absolutely amazed by the homes they are creating with their prefab hybrid home building solution. They are amazing, beautiful and unique. In fact, I have never seen anything quite like it. Sure I have seen plenty of prefab and very cool prefab at that, but these have to take the cake.

So I contacted Brio54 to learn more and what I heard has intrigued me further. For instance, they have a strong desire to promote a modern green lifestyle that is affordable. They give you the ability to choose what you want without creating too many choices and they are creating homes that are plug and play. Homes that can be fit together into unique living spaces with minimal build time and low construction costs.

They do the above by offering “hybrid” solutions. This means that they will not stick to a single construction method.

Because we do not compromise the quality of our product in order to accommodate the highly restrictive parameters imposed by the use of a single construction method. In order to deliver energy efficiency, comfort, security, and transparency, carefully chosen on-site and off-site construction methods are combined into one ‘hybrid’ solution offering superior quality.

To then achieve affordable quality they have created a solution that will not require the cost of a local General Contractor and they offer what they call “feature paks”. These feature paks offer different finishes, exteriors, looks and colors that you can choose based on location, personal taste, and budget. The other great thing is that these paks give you the chance to choose what you want while removing the burden of too many choices.

Instead of overwhelming you with the burden of choosing each item throughout
the home building process, we offer so-called ‘feature paks’. These packages, or
pre-assembled item groups, significantly reduce the number of decisions you have to
make throughout the process. Furthermore, the available ‘feature-paks’ options are
backed by our expertise. This means that no matter what configuration you select,
you will never have to worry about compromising the integrity of the design you love.

The first home to go online will be the H1. It is planned for this fall. The H1 is a beautiful 2,542 sq. ft. home and is pictured directly below.

This home features a full basement and a 2 car garage.

The H5, pictured at the start of this post, is a very unique 510 sq. ft. retreat or cabin. I think it would make a great studio.
