Green Label Organic a green dream turned reality- Outdoor Retailer

Today was my third day at OR and I had several more appointments which just put me behind even more in posts.  I have so many great things to talk about I don’t know where to start.

category-mensOne of my first meetings today was with George and Rain Lipson of Green Label Organic. Green Label Organic is another one of those not so rare anymore companies that are new on the scene and doing it right from the start. Making a difference with everything from their local employee base to the dyes they use in their products.  It is definitely worth your time to check them out.

Green Label Organic was co-created three years ago as a labor of love for me, a long time T-shirt designer who has always wanted to change the world, and my wife Rain, an extraordinary organic grower and lifetime environmentalist.

After learning about the severe environmental impact of conventionally grown cotton, we set out to educate and inform as many people as possible to the importance of supporting organic farming and responsible, sustainable business practices.

The Green Label philosophy is one of respect; respect for our environment, respect for working people everywhere, and respect for ourselves through the choices we make.

The Green Label product line consists of infant, men and womens wear.  Prices vary on style and the category-womensproduct is a super soft 100% organic, garment dyed cotton that I quite liked.  When you purchase from them you can rest assured that not only are you supporting local artisans, tradespeople and manufacturers, but a portion of your purchase will also be donated to organizations that they feel are making a difference in this world.

We felt there was a new spirit emerging that honored not only our planet, but also ourconnection to it and to one another. We have found so many wonderful people and small organizations doing so many important things that we hope to make a little difference for them and those they serve by helping to bring their unique contributions to light on our site.
