Monday’s in the garden – Spring is coming and so is the inspiration. Worm Bin part one.

Submitted by Andrew Stone on Monday, 9 March 2009Comments

Well, spring is coming and so is my garden, so I am back with Monday’s in the garden.  Hopefully now I get off my butt and get this series going for real this time.  Only one thing will be new.  I will be talking mainly about my garden instead of other gardens.  Not that I don’t love talking about other gardens. I do.  I just can’t seem to stay focused on it.

So, the first topic of business is going to be my worm bin.  Yes, I am going to put some worms in my house and feed them regularly.  Why not, I make a lot of organic waste since I am making all my kid’s baby food. So what was the inspiration for this?  Well, it was the video you see below.

The Enviromentals (Episode 1) How to Make a Worm Composting Bin from Hal Brindley on Vimeo.

The video above showed me just how easy it is and also showed me that I don’t have to spend $80 on a stinkingnot so stinking bin to get it done.

So watch for my own video coming next Monday in part two of the Worm Bin feature.
