Andrew Stone - Founder and Editor of Ecozebra. In 1991 I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Advertising and Marketing and a dream to start a "Green" advertising agency, it failed. Following this I continued to follow my career path in the hospitality industry as a Sales Manager for Bristol Hotels and Resorts and later as a General Manager for Intercontinental Hotels and Resorts. As General Manager I was responsible for two hotels, 15 managers, 200 employees, 500 guest rooms, 2 restaurants and 15,000 square feet of meeting space. Throughout this career I made every effort to green every aspect of the hotels where I worked. While it was a challenging, exciting and successful career I found myself looking for a connection with people that only Real Estate could give me and made my move to Real Estate in 2005 and soon began my blog with a focus on all things "Green" and a desire not to just have another real estate blog. This blog has morphed into what is now EcoZebra and has less and less to do with real estate everyday. However, Real Estate is still what I do and I will still continue my blog posts on all things that I think would be important to homeowners or just anyone concerned about our environment today.
